IPL: Indian Premier League to bring AKON
The 3rd edition of IPL might have started with big controversies but it is taking a Global route with their theatre deal with UFO Moviez and Live Streaming deal with youtube and now Lalit Modi informs us about more new stuffs.
The IPL head honcho wrote in his Twitter account that IPL is trying to bring Senegalese-American R&B singer AKON who is well-known for his hit “Smack that” that also earned him a grammy nomination. According to Lalit Modi, they are planning to bring AKON for the opening ceremony. He also informs that for Airtel Champions Twenty20 League they are targeting the likes of Black Eyed Peas.
Modi also says that that have plans to take IPL in USA but just for few exhibition matches or stuff like that but certainly not for a whole tournament. IPL is also opening up its online Merchandise store from this season where you can buy all your favorite IPL collector’s item. It seems that this year’s IPL is full of surprises and breath-taking action that you can’t give a miss.
