IPL 3 Final: CSK Vs MI – Tendulkar in as Chennai bat in IPL final

The whole of Mumbai breathed a sigh of relief as Sachin Tendulkar walked out to the middle for the toss at the DY Patil Satadium in the IPL final against the Chennai Super Kings on Sunday. However, it was MS Dhoni who had the luck with the toss as Chennai elected to bat for the crucial game.
Tendulkar had split the webbing of his right hand in the semi-final while attempting to take a catch in the slips and received five stiches. His availability was under the scanner for the past three days, but minutes before the toss, Harbhajan Singh broke the suspense by announcing that the Mumbai skipper had passed the fitness test and will play the final.
Both Mumbai and Chennai went into the game unchanged. Kieoran Pollard, JP Duminy, Lasith Malinga and Dilhara Fernando are being the four foreign players in the Mumbai eleven. Matthew Hayden, Albie Morkel, Doug Bollinger and Muttiah Muralitharan are the four imports for Chennai.
While Mumbai have sailed into the final with 11 wins in their 15 games including a comprehensive one over the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chennai have struggled and scrapped their way into the final two.
