Match 50 IPL: CSK Vs DD – Dilshan, Nannes return as Chennai bat

The Chennai Super Kings elected to bat against the Delhi Daredevils at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Thursday. The winner of this game will almost be ensured of a place in the semis. Mumbai have confirmed their place in the last four, and Bangalore are also virtually assured of a spot.

Delhi brought in Tillekaratne Dilshan and Dirk Nannes as AB de Villiers and Andrew McDonald were dropped.

Chennai also made a couple of changes with Balaji replacing Anirudha Srikkanth and Mike Hussey in for Muttiah Muralitharan.

Both teams are similarly placed in the points table, with six wins from 12 games, though Chennai is placed higher due to a superior run-rate.

Delhi, who looked set to make it to the semis at one stage, have made matters worse for themselves losing three games on a trot and now they will face an uphill task against the Super Kings at home.
