Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has done it yet again! For the third time in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2026), the 15-year-old has scored a 15-ball half-century. His latest whirlwind knock came in the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Jaipur on Saturday. With this knock, Sooryvanshi also becomes the fastest player to get to 1000 runs in terms of balls faced, as he continues to build his legacy and shadow seniors.

Sooryavanshi slams 15-ball fifty again in IPL 2026

On Saturday, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi once again took just 15 deliveries to breach the fifty-run mark, and he did so in style as he slammed a maximum off Sakib Hussain in the final over of the powerplay to get to the milestone. Previously, he had scored 15-ball half-centuries against CSK and RCB in IPL 2026. At the time of publishing this copy, Sooryavanshi has scored 8 sixes and 2 fours, maintaining a whooping strike rate of 286.36.

Sooryavanshi has become the fastest batter to reach 1000 runs in T20s in terms of balls faced. He has overtaken Mitchell Owen, who took 533 balls to reach the milestone, while the 15-year-old has taken just 473 balls to do so.

Sooryavanshi made his IPL debut last year after being bought for Rs 1.10 crore. He was 13-years-old at the time of being bought by RR in the mega auction, which was based on his solid performances for India in the age-group category. In his very first IPL season, he sizzled with 252 runs from 7 matches, including a 101-run knock.
